Man wanted in Greene Co. kidnapping arrested

LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A man wanted for kidnapping has been arrested in an eastern Carolina county.

Lenoir County deputies arrested Santoa Ventura on Saturday.

The 21-year-old man was wanted in Greene County for kidnapping.

Ventura was arrested on Helen Court near Sharon Church Road in Hugo. Deputies say the man tried to run away from them but was quickly caught.

In addition to the kidnapping in Greene County, Ventura was charged with resisting/delay/obstruction and an outstanding arrest warrant for simple assault.

He is being held without bail.
