Arnold Schwarzenegger was shocked when he realized Linda Hamilton was “more cut” than him on the set of ‘Terminator 2.’

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger was surprised by how “cut” Linda Hamilton looked on the set of ‘Terminator 2.’

  • Schwarzenegger recalled that Hamilton looked like “a bodybuilder but except in miniature.”

  • Hamilton said she was “fiercely proud” of her physique.

When Linda Hamilton reprized her role as future resistance fighter Sarah Connor in “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” she worked hard to give the hero a shredded physique, since she was supposed to prepare for the impending robotic apocalypse.

But Hamilton was in such good shape that she surprised her costar, Arnold Schwarzenegger, when he showed up to start filming the critically acclaimed sequel.

Schwarzenegger opened up about first meeting Hamilton before filming James Cameron’s second “Terminator” film in his new Netflix documentary series, “Arnold.”

The actor said: A few days before filming started, Jim Cameron said to me, “Let’s all get together and have a nice dinner.” » Linda comes in and she takes off her sweater and I look at her arms. Veins on the biceps, then on the triceps. Everything looked like a bodybuilder but except in miniature. “

“I said, ‘I can’t believe that son of a bitch is more cut than me,'” Schwarzenegger added.

Hamilton, who also appears in the docuseries, explained how she wanted to show Schwarzenegger her new look, saying: I remember the fierce pride I must have shown Arnold.”

But speaking about the first “Terminator” movie, Hamilton admitted that she wasn’t initially impressed with the script and had doubts about it.

“It was really just another job. I didn’t think it was particularly better than the scripts I had read. I mean, really clueless,” she said. “It was a very small budget and we were all pretty new to this. I definitely had my doubts.”

Although Hamilton was skeptical of Schwarzenegger as an actor, the actor was influenced when she saw him in action.

Hamilton added: “By our arrogant definition, Arnold was a poseur. A bodybuilder pretending to be an actor. But because I was curious, I went to stand aside to watch Arnold, and I I bought it. The physicality and the stiffness and all the things he was implementing, I was like, “OK, this could work.”

“Arnold” is now streaming on Netflix.
