Samsung offers new storage deal to Galaxy S24 buyers

After reducing the price of the Galaxy Watch FE, Samsung is continuing its deals by offering discounts on its Galaxy S24 Ultra handset.

The Korean company has relaunched its dual storage offering starting in May, bringing down the price of the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s two higher storage options. This means buyers can purchase the 512GB model for the price of the 256GB unit ($1,299.99) or the 1TB model for the price of the 512GB option ($1,419.99). Save $120 either way. The deal only applies to three colorways; green, blue and orange.

The new promotion has been combined with improved trade-in prices of up to $750 for your old phone. As always, to get the maximum payout you’ll have to hand over the Galaxy S23 Ultra, which isn’t worth it. It still has several years of software support and most of the latest Galaxy AI features left.

But there are some great trade-in deals out there. Samsung is pricing the Galaxy S21 Ultra at $550, which is an impressive price considering it won’t get most of the Galaxy AI feature suite. The Galaxy S21 Ultra is currently selling on eBay and Swappa for under $200. If you’re an S21 owner and want to try out some of Samsung’s AI tech, this is a great deal and a worthwhile upgrade.

Similarly, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is priced at $600. Another steep price for a phone that sells for much less on the secondary market. The difference here is that the Galaxy S22 gets most of the Galaxy AI suite tools and still has two to three years of software support. It’s a bit of a Goldilocks phone because of its low price and new AI features, so if you have one, I’d say keep it.

Interestingly, Samsung is pricing the iPhone 15 Pro Max at just $600, which is less than the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Typically, the Korean company overprices trade-in iPhones because it has a long-term strategy to tempt Apple users. I doubt that strategy has changed, but the uneven trade-in prices are just part of the natural cycle of deals and promotions that sees these values fluctuate.

Elsewhere, Samsung is gearing up for its Galaxy Unpacked launch on July 10, where it will announce new foldable phones, watches, earbuds, and the highly anticipated Galaxy Ring. The company has already teased some of its upcoming deals, promising $1,500 off a “new Galaxy device” for pre-orders. Stay tuned for more deals by clicking the Follow button below.
