A mother was woken from her sleep at 4am by an alert from her video doorbell, which had captured a stranger stumbling across her garden.

Kellie Evans was asleep when her phone alerted her to the nighttime movement outside. She initially assumed it was one of her sons outside and quickly alerted her husband Dominic, then rushed to the front door.

But her husband looked out the window and saw that the person was a stranger. He shouted “What are you doing?” » to the intruder, who hurriedly fled the scene. Back inside, they analyzed the images recorded by the camera and were surprised by what was visible.

Footage shows a man awkwardly manoeuvring in their yard before falling, Wales Online reports.

Ms Evans said: “We were out last night for an event – we never went out, we came home and fell asleep around midnight. At around 4am I was alerted to the alert Ring on my phone, and it lit up being this guy.

“It wasn’t until we got home and locked all the doors again and watched the video that I realized how funny it was. I asked myself, ‘What are the chances of catching that? ?’

“I was laughing, and I’ve probably watched it 100 times today, and it’s probably as funny as when I first watched it. You feel sorry for the man at the same time, because you think, ‘Oh, that must have hurt’ You could see he had his phone turned off, and he seemed pretty tripped.

“I was thinking, I’d love to be a fly on the wall when he wakes up and asks, ‘What did I do last night?’ being covered in bruises, as he clearly won’t remember himself. Without a ring at the door, we would never have known that someone had gone out and stumbled into our garden.
