Polk State College Considers Offering Discounted Online Degrees to International Students

POLK COUNTY, FLORIDA – Polk State College may launch a pilot program to offer some degree programs online at a significantly reduced rate.

The Polk State College District Board of Trustees will consider the details of this program, including tuition and specific fees, at its next meeting on August 1, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. in Room 267 of the Polk State Center for Public Safety.

Approved by the Florida Legislature, this program allows Polk State to offer these degrees online to nonresident students for a total cost not to exceed $290 per credit hour.

This represents a substantial decrease from the current rate of $409.06 per credit hour and applies only to certain online programs beginning in the 2024/25 academic year.
