Chris Cuomo shocked by reaction to Biden debate disaster

Chris Cuomo blasted the media’s immediate turnaround on President Joe Biden after his disastrous debate, calling it “dishonest” and asking why they “act like they’re surprised” by his performance.

The Newsnation anchor kicked off the segment by discussing Biden’s statement regarding the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity, which was “very different from the way he spoke in the debate, where he was often incoherent and completely unconvincing.”

“It’s not a surprise,” the former CNN mainstay continued. “Biden is who we know he is. That’s who he was in the debate, that’s who he’s been.”

Cuomo added that Biden must react quickly: “He’s not good. He’s old and sick.”

“Does that mean he can’t have meetings, do his job, meet with leaders or do one-on-one actions?” the Newsnation anchor asked. “No.”

“By the way, Joe Biden was never very good on his feet. He was a gaffe machine at his best,” Cuomo noted. “So why is the media surprised?”

Cuomo lambasted the media for only now calling for Biden to drop out of the race, saying they saw it as an “opportunity for them to put out a new narrative that is compelling to clicks, readers and viewers.”

“Why haven’t they asked Biden to resign for months? He’s been like this for months,” Cuomo continued. “This is a show of bad faith. This is the game, and they know it.”

Cuomo then added that the media should call on Biden and Trump to drop out of the race.

“The people have made it clear for months that they don’t want you or us, in a way we’ve never seen. Biden and Trump are a disgrace to American greatness – two angry, expired old men with no new ideas, no compelling plans, both abusing the truth and the trust of the people around them,” Cuomo said.

“Neither will go down in history as a great man,” he added.
